Some users are reporting an error message when updating the client tier application to build 874, stating that the jMultiTier.dll file is missing or incorrect. Some users get the message after clicking
Update Now during the client update process. They have the option to click
Ok on the error message window, and then the
Finalizing Update message appears. The
Finalizing Update process doesn't complete. This is a result of the jMultiTier.dll file not updating correctly.
To resolve this error, there are a few options.
- Copy the jMultiTier.dll file from the Client Distribution folder in the RW CAREWare Business Tier folder. If you wanted to, you could copy the entire content of that folder to update a RW CAREWare Client Tier folder, since that is where the update files are coming from. Pasting the jMultiTier.dll file from the Client Distribution folder into the RW CAREWare Client Tier folder will resolve the missing or incorrect file error allowing the Finalizing Update process to complete. Once the jMultiTier.dll file is pasted into the client tier folder, log into the client tier application again.
- After initializing the update, the RW CAREWare Client Tier folder will now have some folders called Shadow Client. Copying the contents of these folders will complete the next step in the update process. It is possible the jMultiTier.dll file may still not be up to date after these files have been copied.
- Re-install the client tier application using the build 874 client installer file. You can download the build 874 client installer file here.
There have been some fixes for build 874, including an issue with the services tab not being searchable and only showing the 50 most recent services. This has been resolved in build 875.
