Page History: How to turn on Global User Accounts?

Global User Accounts are allowed access to all client data, provider reports, and provider domains through the Global User Permission. This permission is granted by default to the default account: CwTemp during an initial installation of CAREWare. The permission is granted through the Provider/User Manager on the Central Administration domain. You can use the following steps to grant the permission to a CAREWare Central Administration user:

How to grant global user permissions to an account

  1. Login to the Central Administration domain
  2. Go to Administrative Options>Provider/User Manager
  3. Expand Central Administration's Users and Permissions
  4. Expand Users, then expand the user account you would like to grant the permission to
  5. Click on Individual Permissions
  6. Type Global in the Filter Text box at the top
  7. Highlight and Right click on the Global User permission and select Grant
  8. Press F1: or click on F1:Save
  9. Escape or click on Esc:Close

Once the global user permission is granted for a user they will be able to access all data and report available to them for the provider domains they have access to. You grant the user access to additional domains using the following steps on the Central Administration domain as well:

How to grant domain permission to a user account:

  1. Login to the Central Administration domain
  2. Go to Administrative Options>Provider/User Manager
  3. Double click on User/Provider Assignment
  4. Expand the user name you want to grant permission to the domain for
  5. Right click on the provider domain that you want to add the user to
  6. Select Grant
  7. Click Close
  8. Press F1: or click on F1:Close
  9. Escape or click on Esc:Close
