Error
The business tier is currently locked for the following purpose(s):
  • Unable to update the Data Tier. You will not be able to log in until the problem is fixed. Contact technical support so that they can view the event logs. DTUpdate 89.11 DTUpdate 89.11 failed

    at jProgBusiness.jBusiness.jBusinessSession.GetDomains(String UserName, String Password, jBusinessShared BusinessShared, Boolean IsLogin, Boolean ResetConnection)


The DTUpdate 89.11 failed. This update can be skipped.


To skip this update, after upgrading the business tier, reconnecting to the client tier, and after the update fails with the final error message that DTUpdate 89.11 failed, follow these steps:


  • Right-click on CW Admin in the RW CAREWare Business Tier folder
  • Click Run as Administrator
  • Click Stop Server
  • Click Common Storage Settings tab.
  • In the DataTierVersion row, in the cmm_st_number cell, replace the number with 89.11
  • Click on another cell in another row to save.
  • Click the Server Settings tab
  • Click Start Server
  • Close CW Admin
  • Log into the client tier application
