How to restore a backup within CAREWare

The backup process is slightly different between version 5, build 754 and earlier builds of CAREWare. Build 754 and higher allow users

To restore a backup file within version 5, builds number 754 and higher:

  1. Login to the Central Administration domain
  2. Go to Administrative Options>Backup>View Data Restore Options
  3. Provide the SQL Server instance's SA password
  4. Select the backup file that you would like restore and press Restore Backup
  5. When prompted to revert back to a previous database click "Yes"
  6. When prompted to select a data restore method chose "Restore No Backup"
  7. Place a check in the checkbox for each database to be restored
  8. Press F1-Restore
  9. Once the database(s) are restored successfully click OK
  10. Log into CAREWare as normal

  1. Login to the Central Administration domain
  2. Go to Administrative Options>Backup>View Data Restore Options
  3. Provide the SQL Server instance's SA password
  4. Select the backup file that you would like restore and press Restore Backup
  5. When prompted to revert back to a previous database click "Yes"
  6. When prompted to select a data restore method chose "Restore No Backup"
