CAREWare is compatible with all current versions of Windows operating systems, including:

Windows 2000 (Not compatible as of build 865)
Windows XP (Not compatible as of build 865)
Windows Vista
Windows 7
Windows 8
Windows 10
Windows Server 2000 (Not compatible as of build 865)
Windows Server 2003 (Not compatible as of build 865)
Windows Server 2008
Windows Server 2012
Windows Server 2014
Windows Server 2016

CAREWare is compatible with the following versions of SQL Server:

SQL Server 2000 (Not compatible as of build 827)
SQL Server 2005 (Not compatible as of build 827)
SQL Server 2008
SQL Server 2008 R2
SQL Server 2012
SQL Server 2012 R2
SQL Server 2014
SQL Server 2016

When installing CAREWare version 5.0 build 915 or newer, .NET Framework 4.5.2 is required. Instructions for installing .NET Framework 4.5.2 can be reviewed here.

When installing CAREWare version 5.0 build 865 through build 914, .NET Framework 4.5.1 is required. Instructions for installing .Net Framework 4.5.1 can be reviewed here.

When using CAREWare version 5.0 build 827 or newer, SQL Server 2008 Express or newer is recommended. Instructions to upgrade SQL Server to SQL Server 2008 can be reviewed here.
