Provider Notes are viewable and editable when case note sharing is activated for a client

Modified on Tue, 12 Jun 2012 17:07 by CAREWare Help Desk — Categorized as: FAQ

When sharing a client across two providers one provider wrote in that client’s common notes and in the provider notes. The other provider can see both the text of the common notes and the first provider’s provider notes. If the second provider modifies the provider notes, the changes can be seen by the first provider. Case note sharing should not enable common notes or provider notes for the sharing domains.

Provider 1 Sharing Settings: Case Note Security Level 1 / Select Clients for whom to share case notes / No other details filled in. Service and Clinical Data Security Level 1 / Select Clients for whom to share case notes / No other details filled in.

Provider 2: Case Note Security Level 2 Service and Clinical Data Security Level 1 / Select Clients for whom to share case notes / No other details filled in.

Order of operation:

  1. Client was created in Provider 2, and then referred to Provider 1.
  2. Provider 1 requested Service and Clinical Data sharing for client
  3. Provider 2 granted sharing
