CAREWare's architecture includes a published and documented Microsoft .NET Remoting interface that enables in-house programmers and third party consultants to write code that leverages the considerable features of CAREWare to bridge data between systems. This published interface is the same one that the native CAREWare client application uses. Click here to browse the CAREWare business-tier programming interface.

To provide an empirical tangible example of the interface can be used, jProg has published the source code for the application that converts data from RW CAREWare Version 3.6 to Version 4.0. Click here to download the conversion utility source code.

In order to write more powerful third party tools for CAREWare you will need to understand how the client tier uses the business tier. jProg has released the Hello CAREWare Remoting Project for just this purpose. Click here to find out more about this project.
