How to set up user security questions?

The user security questions are a new feature added to CAREWare for providers and grantees who like to increase their CAREWare security by having users answer predefined questions during account unlocking procedures.

How to set up user security questions

  1. Login to the Central Administration domain
  2. Click on Administrative Options>Advanced Security Options>Security Questions Admin
  3. Click on Add New Question
  4. Type in the new user security question
  5. Click Save
  6. Continue adding as many user security questions as necessary
  7. Click on Settings
  8. Enter a number between 1-3 in the # of questions users are required to answer field
  9. Enter thenumber of max failed attempts a user has before lockout
  10. Click Save
  11. Click Close back to the Main Menu

Once the security questions have been created CAREWare users will need to answer the question(s) in order for the feature to be ready for use. In order for users to provide the answers please have them complete these steps:

  1. Login to CAREWare
  2. Click on My Settings>Security Questions
  3. Chose a question from the Question 1 pull down menu
  4. Provide the answer to the selected question
  5. Repeat steps 3 & 4 for the remaining question pull down menu
  6. Click Save
  7. Click Close
