How to install CAREWare on Windows 8

The installation of the CAREWare Business and Client tiers on a Windows 8 PC are very similar to the installation steps outlined on the CAREWare Wiki answer How to install CAREWare with User Access Control turned on. The only difference between the two operating systems is an extra is necessary during the initial installation on a Windows 8 PC.

1. Download the CAREWare Client Tier setup file
2. Double click on the rwcarewareclientiersetup.msi file
3. When notified that "Windows is protecting your PC" click on "More Info"
4. Click on Run Anyway
5. Click Next
6. Verify the path the client tier will be installed to and click on the Everyone check box
7. Click Next
8. Click I agree and then click Next
9. When prompted to allow the following program from an unknown publisher to make changes click Yes
10. Complete the installation as normal
    

These steps will only work if User Access Control is turned off. If UAC is enabled, then the steps used to install CAREWare on a Windows 7 machine will work without issue.
