Open the CAREWare Administrators utility (CW Admin.exe) which is located in C:/Program Files/CAREWare/RW CAREWare Business Tier. Look in localNumberStorage for "doNotEncryptChannel". If you do not see this tag, you can add it. Setting this value to 0 will turn encryption on and setting it to 1 will turn encryption off. After changing the value on the business tier, you must also set the value on the client tier. This is done by opening the ClientTierSettings file which is C:/Program Files/CAREWare/RW CAREWare Client Tier. Find “doNotEncryptChannel” in localNumberStorage and set the value accordingly.
