In some cases the business tier will become locked during a data tier update. If the data tier update fails at DTUpdate 84.609, check the database to be sure the adp_ds_rs_rpk's 01, 02, and 03 each equal 0, in the adp_ds_rs_active column in the cw_adap_disenrollment_reason_rft.

To check for the table:

  1. Start SQL Server Management Studio.
  2. Connect to the CAREWare database instance.
  3. Expand Databases.
  4. Expand CW_Data.
  5. Expand Tables.
  6. Right click cw_adap_disenrollment_reason_rft.
  7. Click Select Top 1000 Rows.
  8. Verify the adp_ds_rs_active column has 0 for the rows 01, 02, and 03 adp_ds_rs_rpk.

If the adp_ds_rs_rpk's are inactive (equal 0), skip that DTUpdate by following these instructions:

  1. Go to the CW_Admin Utility.
*Located at:C:\Program Files (x86)\CAREWare\RW CAREWare Business Tier by default.
  2. Right click CW_Admin.
  3. Click Run as Administrator.
  4. Click Stop Server.
  5. Click Common Storage Table.
  6. Double click on the cmm_st_number column for the Data Tier Version.
  7. Type in 84.609.
  8. Click on any other box to save
  9. Click Server Settings
  10. Click Start Server.

If the adp_ds_rs_rpk's are active (set to 1), contact the CAREWare Help Desk by following the instructions here. Click here to download these instructions.
