RW CAREWare utilizes the powerful encryption technology provided by the Microsoft .NET framework to encrypt client information as it moves across networks and is stored on disk.
Channel Encryption can be turned off following the instructions
here. Personal Identifying Information encryption can be hidden for reports by following the steps
here. The cw_client table, in the database, can be decrypted by following the steps
here. It also provides secured encryption as client data is stored on disk.
In some cases the decryption process may not complete due to an error. If users get a bad data error after turning encryption off, contact the
CAREWare Help Desk.
